As
of November 2005 the Adult Dyslexia Centre has been accredited with
the Matrix
Standard: the national quality standard for any organisation
that delivers information, advice and/or guidance on learning and
work.
How
We Started
Debbie Farnfield, a tutor of adults with dyslexia,
and Sue Penton-Voak, active in the local Dyslexia Association, decided
to open the centre in September 2003 feeling that, whereas children
with dyslexia were getting a better deal, there was still very little
support for adults. With a small team of people, the aim of the centre
is to boost confidence, develop skills and improve the individual's
understanding of their dyslexia.

run at the centre.
